Mr. Steve M. Struna, President and Chief Executive Officer
Steve Struna, President and CEO, has over 34 years of petroleum industry experience in engineering, operations, finance, planning, and general management. Prior to launching Bayswater E&P in 2004, Mr. Struna held a wide variety of positions with BP, Amoco, including: Vice President and General Manager, Onshore Gulf Coast USA; North American Natural Gas Executive Leadership Team member with responsibility for the redesign of BP’s entire onshore US operations base; CEO and President, Central Alberta Midstream – Calgary; Vice President and General Manager, Amoco Canada Gas Gathering and Processing – Calgary; Senior Manager, Corporate Finance - Chicago; Resource Development Manager, Central North Sea – London; and Project Manager, Armada Platform and Development, Central North Sea U.K. Mr. Struna received his BSc Degree in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University in 1981, an MSc in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines in 1985, and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1990. He is a registered professional engineer and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Mr. Lynn Belcher, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Belcher has over 30 years of land, business development and management experience in the lower 48 and offshore Gulf of Mexico E&P business. He has worked for Amoco Production Company, Davis Oil Company and Westport Oil and Gas, for a combined 15 years in various land and management roles. As an officer with Westport from 1996-2004, he played an active role in both company growth through acquisitions, mergers and property exploitation, and in taking the company public. Along with his company experience, as a founder and principal he has managed several successful private oil and gas companies. Mr. Belcher received his BS degree in business from Arizona State University in 1975 and he joined Elgin Energy in 2009.
Mr. Don Barbula, Senior Vice President of Operations
Mr. Don Barbula, Senior Vice President of Operations. Mr. Barbula joined Bayswater Exploration & Production, LLC in July 2009. He has extensive knowledge and operational expertise with over 34 years experience in exploitation, development, operations and production. He held various technical engineering and managerial positions with Amoco Production Company from 1979 to 1998 with focus on the Rocky Mountain and Mid-Continent areas including positions in gas marketing and involvement in acquisitions and divestment. Prior to joining Bayswater, Don was operations manager and a founder of Mile High Energy which successfully developed a 3-D seismic driven exploitation project for Longview Production Company in the Arkoma Basin. He graduated from the Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology in Butte, Montana with a BS in Geological Engineering.
Ms. Kim L. Nanke, Controller
Ms. Nanke has approximately 28 years of accounting and finance experience served exclusively in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Bayswater in July of 2007, Ms. Nanke worked as the Accounts Payable / Joint Interest Billing Manager at Noble Energy Inc. where she was recruited to streamline and implement new procedures, processes, and policies in the department to improve efficiencies and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley. Previous positions include 10 years at Whiting Petroleum Corp. where she began working as the Joint Interest Billing Supervisor, and was ultimately promoted to the Assistant Controller where she had direct supervision over the Revenue and Joint Interest Billing Supervisors. She received a BSc in Accounting with Honors from Regis University, Denver, Colorado in 2003 and is a member of COPAS.
Mr. John Arsenault, Vice President
Mr. Arsenault has more than 25 years of experience in petroleum reservoir engineering, including reserve and economic evaluation, acquisition and divestiture, reservoir simulation and management. He has worked as an engineer with various consulting firms in his career, including several years with Schlumberger’s Reservoir Technologies Division, and most recently, MHA Petroleum Consultants. He has worked internationally in Mexico, Germany and Indonesia and speaks Spanish. Mr. Arsenault has significant experience with reserves evaluation and A&D in the DJ Basin. While with Schlumberger, he managed offices in both Mexico and in the US, leading large teams of integrated reservoir studies groups. He has extensive experience in hydraulic fracturing, having worked with the Gas Technology Institute on the implementation of various research projects. Mr. Arsenault has a BSc in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, and has completed 30 hours of post graduate work in Petroleum Engineering.
Mr. David Brewster, Senior Vice President of Exploration
Mr. Brewster has 30 years of experience as a geoscientist in the petroleum industry. His career has been focused on oil and gas exploration, primarily as a seismic interpreter, in California, Texas, Utah, Colorado, and several international basins. Mr. Brewster was previously employed by Western Geophysical and Exxon, and he was a founding partner of Black Coral, LLC, a private E&P company that focused on the generation of prospects and plays in California. He has also worked as an independent consultant for various companies including work with Bayswater for the six years prior to becoming an employee in 2013. Mr. Brewster received a BS in geology from St. Lawrence University in 1981 and an MA in geology from Indiana University in 1984.
